Objectives

• enable QPC clients to make choices about a gun free lifestyle

• ensure that Gun Free South Africa branches use conflict resolution and peacemaking skills effectively

• ensure that the people in Cape Town recognize that QPC promotes a gun free lifestyle

The training of volunteers from the GFSA branch in Philippi took place from 18-19 July. There were an even number of women and men, ranging in ages from 18-46. The training session was coordinated jointly by Gun Free South Africa GFSA and the Centre, and focused on gun awareness and mediation. A further three workshops were run during July to December.
